Configuring a survey type

Gear icon that leads to the survey type configuration step, where the requirement settings are configured. Document icon with an addition symbol, that leads to the create survey step, where a new survey is initiated. Structure diagram icon, that leads to the Structure survey step, where the survey questions are organized. Pencil on paper icon, that leads to the Respond to survey step, where the user fills in the required answers. Pencil and padlock icon that leads to the survey closure step, where the user finalizes their answers.

 

Prerequisite

  • Access to the Configuration > Survey type (SV020) menu.

 

Introduction

In order to create a survey, we need to add and configure a survey type.

Types categorize surveys and set up some of their resources, such as planning approval, critical analysis, closure, attributes, and template revisions.

Configuring a survey type

1. Access the Configuration > Survey type (SV020) menu and click on the Add icon. button.

2. Fill in the ID # and Name fields.

3. If you wish, in the Upper survey type field, click on the Search icon. button and select the type that is hierarchically above this one.

4. If you wish to use an identification mask, check the Use mask for identification option and select a record in the Identification mask field. Access the What is an identification mask? article to learn more.

5. If you wish for the survey planning to go through approval, check the Planning approval option and select the Route type and the Responsible route in the corresponding fields.

6. If you wish for the survey to go through the critical analysis step, check the Critical analysis option and select the Route type and the Responsible route in the corresponding fields. Access the Executing the critical analysis of a survey article and learn more.

7. If you wish for the records to go through the closure step, check the Closure option and select the Route type and the Responsible route in the corresponding fields.

Steps 6 and 7 can be performed without approval.

 

8. In the Attribute tab, associate the desired attributes. Access the Attribute association article to learn more.
